My car payment was due on the 14th it’s was money gram on the 25th on the 29th they sent one of there collection people to my house. Saying I owe interest on my law which I refuse to pay. When I’m one day late this finance company calls my house, my job my family even when I tell them my payment is gonna be late they still harass me until the payment is made, and this time they sent someone to my house to collect a payment that was already paid. My account was transfered to one of there other offices and I’ve never paid any interest payment up front on my loan. I told them to stomp call my job and my family members, my job has even told them to stop calling my place of work and they continue to call. I know to stop the calls is to pay my payment on time, but things happen as everyone knows. Do you know what she told me. Get someone to pay the loan off and they will stop harassing me. Can they do this legally by sending someone to my house like that. It’s not in my contract and I told them to send me a copy showing me they can do this. I’m in New Jersey.,

May 5th, 2010I have one auto loan & one big rig pmt. Both companies are charging me a ridiculous amount in interest. I CANT CATCH UP! if Im 30 days behind. $300.00 goes to interest alone. Then it doesn’t show up that Im even making a pmt because everything I pay goes to interest! By law, shouldn’t it be a reasonable amount? and can they do this? Any suggestions on what I can do about it? Pls help! I cant catch up!
EARNEST MONEY: the buyers couldn’t obtain the loan (bc they didn’t have SS#) How do we keep the earnest money?

Hi, We have been trying to sell our home for the past 3 months, 2 months ago, we had an offer from a hispanic family with Su Casa Century 21 Realty representing them. We accepted their offer and they said they wouldn’t be able to close for another month because the loan may take a while. Because they are illegally in the United States, it was going to be harder for them to obtain the loan. HOWEVER, the home seller ASSURED us he was a legal immigrant and had the proper documents and a social security number, THEREFORE, we agreed on their offer. In the meantime (1 month before the closing date) we had numerous interested buyers that loved the house, and wanted to make an offer, but we turned them down because we RELIED on these buyers to buy the house. A month later come closing time, we get a call from the lawyer’s office saying they’re not ready to close. Then on, we try calling the realtor almost EVERY SINGLE day, without getting a response. We just wanted a reply. We wanted to know what was the issue etc. The realtor doesn’t speak much english either, and whenever I’d call the office a REALLY rude lady would answer the phone and inform us that she’s not there and she’ll call back, but we’ve NEVER got a phone call from the actual realtor, she did actually email us telling us, because the home buyers couldn’t afford the house, bc they weren’t able to get the originally loan offer they wanted (they actually ended up having to pay a higher interest rate, and they “couldn’t afford it”) they would receive the earnest money back. An acquaintance of mine’s father is a lawyer, and i talked to her. she told me that the buyer NEVER gets the earnest money back. She suggested that we sue them for breach of contract. She said because we RELIED on their buying the house to pay for the mortgage, we should sue them and get the lawyer fees, earnest money, and detrimental damage back. My question is, Is this really true? what kind of action should we take? I’ve called the realtor’s office countless times, and the lady that answers the phone has ALWAYS been EXTREMELY rude and told me to have our lawyer contact them. WHAT SHOULD WE DO!?!
P.S the lawyer friend of mine said we could sue the buyers for breach of contract, and attach SU CASA REALTY CENTURY 21 onto the lawsuit so if the buyers decide to flee the country, Century 21 would have to assume the responsibilities. Is that right??
ALSO: Can I report this to the Better Business Bureau?

to reply to Kemkerk: we did NOT know they were illegal, we only found out AFTER they backed out that they were illegal. We were ASSURED by the buyers they were legal citizens!
Othniel: We were For Sale By Owner, but we did have a friend of my mom’s who’s a realtor’s help!
WE REALLY Relied on these buyers to pay for the house, we already bought a new house, we’re paying mortgage on BOTH houses right now and it’s REALLY hard on us. Is there ANY WAY we can be compensated for our time investment and the potential buyers we lost in the process?

February 15th, 2010I am paying my car note late on friday and on the 5th of October my car note would have been 30 days late. The problem is , Im being harrassed by bill collectors for my car note. The have been calling me all week and I keep telling them Friday. They want me to give them a post dated Check Im like Hell no. Anyway most people say that yes they could come get my car but most likely they want until 60-90 days late. in most states.
Is that a law that applies to California as well. Do I have 60- 90 days. I dont ever remember being harassed like this and its very nerve racking I almost didnt come to work this morning behind this madness. Tomorrow I will Online Bill pay the Whacovia Bank for the late car note only and pay the other one in October .
So are they coming for my car cause I had to get raw with the phone person for talking to me crazy like they didnt understand friday .
Not to mention the last time i was actually late was in 2005 I had to pay a 30 day past due late amount.
About a month ago I took a payday loan from E-payday. Every payday for me, they withdrew $90 from my checking
February 13th, 2010Every payday for me, they withdrew $90 form my checking account. This went on for six weeks ‘cos I get paid every two weeks. That adds up to $270. On the third withdrawal, I called them to find out what my balance was, it was still $390.
I deceided to pay the loan in full that same day they withdrew $90, Thinking I’ve got pay only $300. But my balance was still $390. Meaning I have pay to $390 after they’ve withdrawn $90 from my accounts that same day, less than 30 mins. ago.
They explained to me that my next withdrawal is goin to be $140, that is $90 plus $50 every two weeks until the debt is cleared. That means I’ll end up paying $1110 for a $300 loan.
I feel I’m being duped. Can any of you help me out. I also understand that every state has a different law regarding the profits on payday loans. Can any of u give me the link to the one in massachusettes.
